What is ACT FOR SKY?
CONCEPT
ACT FOR SKY is
an all-Japan initiative to achieve carbon neutral skies
through the promotion and expansion of
sustainable aviation fuel SAF (SAF).
Companies directly involved in domestic SAF,
companies and municipalities that are necessary
to build the supply chain will create a movement
that goes beyond the boundaries of these companies
to realize the commercialization,
diffusion and expansion of
domestic SAF.
VISION
With the rapid global demand to reduce CO2 emissions as a countermeasure against global warming, the aviation industry needs to accelerate the technological development, manufacturing, distribution, and use of SAF. In response to the growing global demand for SAF, a stable supply of domestically produced SAF is essential in Japan.
ACT FOR SKY will accelerate this trend through the commercialization, dissemination, and expansion of domestically produced SAF. We aim to change behavior through a change in the awareness of citizens and companies while appealing to the importance of SAF, carbon neutrality, and resource recycling through coordinated and collaborative action by companies, local governments, and others.
Thoughts behind the logo
The ACT FOR SKY logo represents the desire of all involved to unite under the same symbol and to make the initiative as dynamic as a flying aircraft.
The text represents the commitment to the domestic SAF and is expressed in traditional Japanese calligraphy. The black ink represents the beautiful sky that we aim for in 2050, and its dynamism shows our determination to move forward strongly.
Together with this life-enhancing logo, we will realize a sustainable aviation industry and pass on a healthy global environment and the dream of flying to the children of the future.
