Announcement: “Argus Japan Commodities Day 2026,” Hosted by Argus, to Be Held on Thursday, November 12
11/12 (Thu) Organized by Argus “ Argus Japan Commodities Day 2026 ”
On Thursday, November 12, 2026, we will host Argus Japan Commodities Day 2026 at the Kudan Kaikan Terrace in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
The global energy market is undergoing a major transformation, driven by supply risks in the Middle East, the rise of crude oil from the Americas, shifts in trade flows of LPG and petroleum products, and the growth of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and biofuel markets. At this event, we will analyze changes in global supply and demand, trade flows, and price formation—from crude oil and petroleum products to biofuels—and examine the implications for Japanese companies and the future outlook for the market.
In particular, the afternoon session on biofuels will cover the role biofuels play in decarbonization and ensuring a stable supply, the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Asia, the ethanol market from the U.S. and Brazil to Japan, and Japan’s positioning in the feedstock market—including used cooking oil (UCO). We also plan to hold a panel discussion in Japanese on the future of Japan’s biofuel market.
To expand the use of SAF, it is essential to take a comprehensive view of securing raw materials, international supply chains, policies, demand, and price formation, in addition to domestic initiatives. At Japan Commodities Day, we will shed light on the future direction of Japan’s SAF and biofuel markets from a global perspective.
We sincerely look forward to your participation.
