As a developer and manufacturer of aircraft airframes and engines, Honda joined the OEM Review Panel for the ASTM standardization of SAF in June 2022, and is contributing to the spread of SAF by supporting the safety evaluation and standardization of SAF. In our aero engine research and development laboratories, we actively use SAF in engine testing to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in our research and development activities. We are also engaged in research and development of SAF production technology, focusing on the direct FT method, which synthesizes fuel directly from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. We will continue to work on all aspects of "creating," "using," and "making rules" for SAF through our activities in ACT FOR SKY.
