For almost 70 years, J-POWER has contributed to the economic development of Japan and the improvement of people's lives by supplying low-cost and stable electric power. Overseas, J-POWER is also actively pursuing the power generation business, leveraging its experience and knowledge in power supply development and consulting business related to power transmission and substation facilities in various parts of the world for more than half a century. We will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of Japan and the world by tirelessly providing the energy that people demand.
J-POWER is currently working on the development of technology to enable stable mass cultivation of microalgae, the raw material for SAF, under contract with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) for the "Bio-Jet Fuel Production Technology Development Project / Microalgae Fundamental Technology Development" to realize a carbon-neutral society. We are working on the development of technology that enables the stable mass cultivation of microalgae, the raw material for SAF. In this NEDO project, based on J-POWER's microalgae and many years of cultivation experience, J-POWER is working to establish stable cultivation technology using a large-scale cultivation system, improve algae production, and reduce costs through large-scale cultivation at the Wakamatsu Research Institute in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and is conducting research and development for social implementation of SAF.
J -POWER aims to realize a decarbonized society through the supply of microalgae as a raw material for SAF.
