The Nichirei Group operates a processed foods business that manufactures and sells frozen foods and other processed foods, a cold storage and logistics business that stores and transports foods, a marine products and livestock business that procures, processes, and sells marine products and livestock products, a bioscience business, and a real estate business. Under the holding company, which is responsible for the overall group strategy, each operating company creates new customer value through the flexible execution of operations, aiming to enhance corporate value over the medium to long term.
The Nichirei Group has identified five key Group issues (materialities) to realize our long-term management goal "2030 Vision. We see the growing expectations for the realization of a sustainable society as a business opportunity, and will work together with stakeholders to solve social issues and enhance corporate value. Two of these are "sustainable food procurement and the realization of a recycling-oriented society" and "addressing climate change," and we hope to contribute to decarbonization and the realization of a recycling-oriented society in the aviation sector through participation in ACT FOR SKY, provision of waste cooking oil, and information dissemination.
