The Nissin Foods Group is a comprehensive food manufacturer that produces and sells instant noodles, chilled foods, frozen foods, confectionery, beverages, etc. Its history began in 1958 when the founder, Momofuku Ando, invented the world's first instant noodle, "Chicken Ramen". Today, the company operates 27 companies in Japan and 38 companies overseas (in 17 countries), and the world's first cup noodle, "Cup Noodle," created in 1971, is sold in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
The Nissin Foods Group has set forth an environmental strategy, "EARTH FOOD CHALLENGE 2030," which aims to realize a sustainable society and enhance corporate value by fiscal 2030.
To achieve this goal, we are working on sustainable palm oil procurement and climate change countermeasures, and as part of these efforts, we have decided to actively work on SAF, which can contribute to the recycling of waste cooking oil and the decarbonization of the aviation industry, in cooperation with ACT FOR SKY participating companies.
In the future, we would like to contribute to the spread and development of SAF through contributions in the supply chain, such as the supply of SAF raw materials, and by supporting the dissemination of information that will lead to educational activities.
