Odakyu has defined the collection and transportation of resources and waste, which play an important role in realizing a recycling-oriented society, as a new infrastructure following railroads and real estate, and has launched the waste management business "WOOMS" in 2021 with the aim of building such an infrastructure. WOOMS aims to build a world where all waste is a natural resource, under the slogan "Beyond Waste.
WOOMS provides co-creation activation of resource recycling through three solutions: technology to optimize waste collection and realize new resource collection, community activities to change consumer behavior such as "throwing away waste," and products to upcycle waste. At SAF, we are participating in the research and development and demonstration of solutions to improve the efficiency and stabilize the volume of waste cooking oil collection, which is the raw material for the production supply chain. In addition, we will co-create SAF awareness-raising activities for consumers by utilizing Odakyu's consumer contact points and content, together with companies participating in "ACT FOR SKY".
