Toshiba Energy Systems Corporation

On October 1, 2017, our company was spun off from Toshiba Corporation and launched as a company responsible for the energy solutions business, a key area of focus for Toshiba Group. Going forward, we will contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality by leveraging our abundant knowledge of "renewable energy," "energy conservation," and "energy matching" gained through the construction and maintenance of electric power infrastructure and technological development. We will also promote the realization of next-generation energy services using advanced IoT and AI technologies.

Toshiba Energy Systems is developing CO2 electrolysis technology to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) into carbon monoxide (CO), which is necessary for SAF production, by applying catalyst technology to convert CO2 directly into CO in gaseous form and production technology cultivated in fuel cells to dramatically improve throughput to a practical level. We are considering2 a carbon cycle business model based on " P2C1" that produces SAF in combination with FT synthesis technology that synthesizes liquid fuel from CO and hydrogen (H2), and through our activities in ACT FOR SKY, we will further strengthen our activities to promote and expand the use of SAF, including collaboration with other companies.
