Toyo Engineering Corporation

Since its establishment in 1961, Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been providing engineering services in the fields of petrochemicals, oil and gas processing, resource development, and power generation, in addition to its original business of ammonia and urea (fertilizer field). In line with TOYO's mission of "contributing to the sustainability of the Earth and society through engineering," we are also focusing on recycling-oriented and low environmental impact businesses.

In order to promote commercialization projects in the field of renewable fuel production technology, TOYO has concluded an agreement with Velocys of the United States that provides for comprehensive business cooperation, and is working to commercialize technology to produce SAF and other fuels from woody biomass, municipal waste, and CO2 emitted from industrial facilities by combining Velocys' advanced Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis technology using microchannel technology and TOYO's In the NEDO Biojet Fuel Production Pilot Plant Project conducted between 2017 and 2020, TOYO and Velocys, together with other participating companies, are working on the commercialization of technology to produce SAF and other fuels from woody biomass, municipal waste, CO2 emitted from industrial facilities, and so on. With FT synthesis as a core technology, we are aiming for early commercialization and early introduction of SAF/e-fuel in the aviation sector to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
