[JAL, AIRBUS, Nippon Paper Industries, Sumitomo Corporation, GEI] MOU Signed to Realize Purely Domestic SAF Derived from Domestic Wood
~To establish a domestic SAF supply chain to decarbonize the aviation industry~.
Japan Airlines Corporation, Airbus, Nippon Paper Industries, Sumitomo Corporation, and Green Earth Institute (collectively, the "Five Companies") have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual collaboration to realize sustainable aviation fuel (hereinafter referred to as "SAF" ) using bioethanol derived from domestic wood. The five companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate with each other for the realization of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using bioethanol derived from domestic wood.
The five companies will leverage their respective strengths to realize a decarbonized society, regional revitalization, and a sustainable future through the production and dissemination of bioethanol-derived domestic SAF using domestic timber, and through resource recycling.
